Unmanned Aerial Vehicles with DRDC | 2019
In 2019, I worked with Defence Research and Development Canada as a subcontractor (via LDC Solutions) to support their Survivability and Lethality Analysis Modelling (SLAM) analysis on unmanned aerial systems (UASs). As the system expert, I:
- Developed CAD models of the unmanned aerial systems being studied. These models were used by the SLAM software.
- Performed a fault tree analysis on the UAS systems, identifying their modes of failure
- Put together several reports highlighting the findings of the analysis for each UAS, and the models developed in the process
- Supported the import of the information to the SLAM software and performing the analysis
